Since established in 1996, the Animal Shelter has been through a lot of changes.  If you have not been by in a while you should come by and visit the new staff, our new facilities, and see all of the changes that we have made.

Most important, come see our animals that are available for adoption.  Our adoption rate is about 52%.  We would like that number to be larger and with your help we can make that goal.  The shelter is always in need of donations, such as money, food, or your time as a volunteer.

What a great show!  Thanks to all of our sponsors.

Proofs are posted at Animal House Studios.  Net proceeds from prints purchased from the Dog Show will be donated to the Rogers Animal Shelter!

Who We Are:

The mission of Rogers Animal Services is to provide for public health and safety by removing stray animals from the streets, monitoring bite incidents, ensuring city laws and ordinances are enforced, protecting animal welfare, and saving lives through pet adoptions at the Rogers Animal Shelter. This is accomplished by using a progressive method of animal control which is focused on education, enforcement, and reuniting lost pets with their owners. Rogers Animal Services is committed to serving both the two legged and for legged citizens of Rogers Arkansas.

Since 2010, Rogers Animal Services has saved over 6000 animals by finding them new homes, returning them back home, or getting them into rescue. In 2012 our re-homing rate stands at 70% of the animals that came into the Rogers Animal Shelter. We are working hard to make 2013 an even better year for our four legged friends.
Our Community:

We have a strong volunteer corps and we are always in need of good volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering call Rogers Animal Services or just stop by the Animal Shelter during business hours. We would love to have you.

Rogers Animal Services needs the support of our community. You can make a difference by donating your time, charitable contribution, or both. Since 2010, Rogers Animal Services has collected almost $30,000 in donations from our community. We have been able to make tangible improvements to our facilities that directly benefit the animals. Come on by for a tour and we can show you what we have done with donation money. All monetary donations are tax deductible and we provide receipts. Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Adopting a New Family Member:

Rogers Animal Shelter places pet adoptions as our top priority. We work to temperament test each animal and to learn their personality. This enables us to provide you with the best match possible for your family. Our standard adoption fee is $61. The adoption fee includes the spay or neuter and microchip. Stop by the shelter or call for more details.

Per Arkansas State law all animals that are adopted must be spayed or neutered before they can go home. Rogers Animal Services does not provide a rabies vaccination. Per Arkansas state law, a rabies vaccination must be provided by a licensed veterinarian who can issue a rabies certificate.

Do you love animals, but you are not ready to bring one home? You can still help an animal get adopted. Here’s how. You can do either a partial sponsorship or a total sponsorship which will reduce the cost of the adoption for the animal. Each sponsorship is tax deductible. Call us or stop by for details.
Adopting a New Family Member:

You can purchase a city license from two locations for your convenience. You can purchase a license for your cat or dog at either the Rogers Animal Shelter or Rogers City Hall. You must have a copy of your cat or dog’s current rabies certificate.

License Fee: Spay/ Neuter - Free
Unaltered - $7.50 per animal (starting January 2014 this fee will go to $ 50.00 per animal)

If you have any questions concerning city licenses, or animal ordinances call Rogers Animal Services at (479) 621-1197
