Rogers Garage
Sale Ordinance
Effective August 1, 2000
Any garage sale on or after August 1 will require a permit.
These permits are free and can be obtained at the City
Clerk's Office at 301 W. Chestnut Information regarding this
new ordinance is as follows:
1. Garage sale shall last no longer than 3 days.
2. Only allowed 2 garage sales each calendar year.
3. Display copy of permit on site at garage sale location.
4. Remove signs at close of sale on the day of the sale.
5. Do not post signs more than two (2) days prior to the
sale. Do not place signs on telephone poles, city signs, or
utility boxes of any kind. Permissible signs can be staked
into the ground or placed on cardboard boxes.
