Tom Jenkins - Chief
Chief Jenkins started with the
RFD March of 2009. Prior to being selected as
Chief of the Rogers Fire Department, Tom served as
Deputy Chief for the City of Sand Springs (Oklahoma)
Fire Department. Tom Jenkins holds a Bachelors
Degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering
from Oklahoma State University and a Masters Degree
in Public Administration from the University of
Oklahoma. Chief Jenkins is a graduate of the
Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire
Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Chief Jenkins
became Arkansas's first Chief Fire Officer Designee
from the Commission on Professional Credentialing in
2010. Chief Jenkins serves as the Vice
President of the Metro Fire Chiefs Association of
Northwest Arkansas and is a member of the Benton
County 911 Board and Benton County Dive Team Board.
Tom is an adjunct professor for Oklahoma State
University and Northwest Arkansas Community College.

Allan Skogen - Deputy Chief - Fire Prevention
Deputy Chief Allan
Skogen was hired by the Rogers Fire Department in
March of 2001 as Fire Marshal. He promoted to Deputy
Chief in June of 2003. Chief Skogen's career in
public safety began in 1986 where he worked as an
EMT in Orange County, CA. After becoming a Paramedic
in 1989, he joined the Springdale Fire Department.
Chief Skogen has worked as a Flight Medic with Air
Evac Lifeteam and an EMT Instructor for Northwest
Medical Center in Springdale. Chief Skogen
also works as an adjunct instructor for the Fire
Science Program at Northwest Arkansas Community
College.

Jake Rhoades - Deputy Chief -
Special Operations & Training
Jake
Rhoades started with the Rogers Fire Department in
July of 2009. Jake began his fire service career in
1992 with the Stillwater Fire Department, where he
rose through the ranks to serve as Training Officer.
In 2008, Chief Rhoades accepted the position of
Assistant Chief with the Jenks (Oklahoma) Fire
Department. He holds a Bachelors Degree from
Oklahoma Christian University and a Masters Degree
in Executive Fire Service Leadership. Jake is a
graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at
the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. In
2010, Chief Rhoades was recognized as by the
Commission of Public Safety Excellence as a Chief
Fire Officer designee. Additionally in 2010, Jake
was awarded member status with the Institute of Fire
Engineers US Branch. He has served as a state
advocate for the Everyone Goes Home Program and is a
principal member for the NFPA technical committee on
Risk Management. Jake also serves as an
adjunct professor with Kaplan University and serves
on the International Association of Fire Chiefs
Safety, Health, and Survival section.

Calvin "Eddie" Thompson -
Battalion Chief - A Platoon
Battalion Chief Eddie Thompson
has been with the Rogers Fire Department since July
of 1992. Prior to his employment with the Rogers
Fire Department, Chief Thompson was enlisted with
the United States Air Force (Fire Protection
Division). Chief Thompson started his career as a
firefighter and steadily moved up through the ranks,
promoting to Captain in July of 1997 and Battalion
Chief in September of 2002. Chief Thompson
currently serves as a Citywide Tour Commander
assigned to "A" Platoon.

Bryan Hinds - Battalion
Chief - B Platoon
Battalion Chief Bryan Hinds joined the Rogers Fire
Department in 1997. Chief Hinds' career in public
safety began as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for the City of
Springdale, AR in 1989. In 1990, he became a
Police Officer with the Springdale Police
Department. While with SPD he served various
positions including patrolman, field training
officer, and detective. Bryan promoted to Captain in
2002 and Battalion Chief in 2007. Chief Hinds
currently serves as a Citywide Tour Commander for
"B" Platoon.

David
Whitlow - Battalion
Chief - C Platoon
Battalion Chief David Whitlow has
been with the Rogers Fire Department since 1988.
Chief Whitlow was hired as a Firefighter/EMT and has
worked his way up through the ranks. David was an
original member of the Northwest Arkansas Hazardous
Materials Response Team. He promoted to
Captain in 1992 and promoted to Battalion Chief in
2002. Chief Whitlow currently serves as a Citywide
Tour Commander for "C" Platoon.
