The Rogers Fire Department Honor Guard serves the community as representatives of the fire department.  The honor guard is a well-trained team, dedicated to representing the department at community events. The honor guard projects a professional and positive image of the fire department through strict discipline and precise training.

 The Rogers Fire Department Honor Guard was formed following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The honor guard originally consisted of five members, and now has grown to nine under the leadership of Captain Shawn Treat. Membership in the honor guard is difficult to obtain.  Members must be tenured veterans of the organization and must embody the highest in ethical standards.  All honor guard members are selected by current members and affirmed by the Fire Chief.  

 The honor guard participates in a wide spectrum of events. The team performs at many civic occasions and ceremonies each year. The team also plans, organizes, and performs at funeral services for fallen firefighters.

  The honor guard wears a Class A Dress uniform that consists of a uniform cap, white long-sleeve shirt, black trousers, black dress coat, black tie, white gloves, black shoes, black socks, and a black belt.  The ceremonial equipment used includes chromed axes, pike poles, and flags.
