OBTAINING A ROGERS BUSINESS LICENSE
COMO OBTENER UNA LICENCIA
PARA NEGOCIOS
Business licenses are required within the City of Rogers. In
order to obtain a Business License for the City of Rogers,
the following may be required, and must be presented to the
City Clerk’s Office located at 300 West Poplar, along with
the Business License Application before the license can be
issued:
◊ Provide information showing the current zoning for the
business location, which may be obtained from the Planning
and Transportation Office located at 207 South 2nd Street,
or by calling (479) 6211186.
◊ Initial inspection by the Building Inspector of the area
that the business will occupy, and a final inspection, if
required. Inspection times may be set up by calling (479)
6211100.
◊ A certificate of occupancy ($25.00), issued by the
Building Inspector, located at 210 West Elm.
◊ A sign permit (required) issued by the Building
Inspector’s office. For more information, call (479)
6211100.
◊ When moving a business from one location to another,
please check with the Building Inspector’s office to
determine if a new inspection and certificate of occupancy
is required.
Additional items that may be required, although not a part
of the City of Rogers’ business licensing process:
◊ Businesses operating in the State of Arkansas should
obtain a state tax identification number or retail permit,
issued through Arkansas Department of Finance in Little
Rock. Applications are available at the Arkansas State
Revenue Office located at 2308 SE 28th Street in
Bentonville. For more information, call (479) 2732724 or log
on at www.state.ar.us/dfa.
◊ If food is part of the business, inspection by the
Arkansas Board of Health is required. Contact the Benton
County Health Department at (479) 2711055 for more
information.
◊ For questions regarding the start of a new business in

La Ciudad de Rogers exige una licencia para operar cualquier
negocio. Para obtener una licencia para establecer un
negocio nuevo, siga los siguientes pasos:
◊ Consiga una solicitud en la Ofic. del Secretario de la
ciudad, localizada en 300 West Poplar St., y después de
llenarla, preséntela en la misma oficina.
◊ Provea información actual sobre la zona y ubicación de su
negocio. Esta información puede ser obtenida en el

◊ Se requiere una inspección inicial del local comercial que
será ocupado. Dicha inspección debe ser realizada por el
Inspector de Edificios. También podría ser recomendada una

◊ El Certificado de Ocupación es otorgado por la Oficina del
Inspector de Edificios de la Ciudad, la cual se encuentra
localizada en: 210 WEST ELM. ST. El costo de éste
certificado es de $25.00
◊ Los permisos para letreros se pueden obtener en las
oficinas del Inspector de Edificios, 210 WEST ELM. ST. Para
más información puede llamar al (479) 621-1100.
◊ Si se cambia de un local a otro, debe hacer una cita con
la Oficina del Inspector de Edificios, y obtener otro
Certificado de Ocupación para su nuevo local.
Adicional pero no requerido por la ciudad de Rogers:
◊ Una Inspección del Departamento de Salud de Benton, si su
negocio involucra comida. Para más información llame al

◊ Los negocios operando en el Estado de Arkansas deberían
obtener una Identificación de Impuestos del Estado (STATE
TAX 1.13) Ésta identificación se puede obtener a través del
Departamento de Finanzas en Little Rock. Puede encontrar
solicitudes en la Oficina de Impuestos (Revenue Office), en
