Pagnozzi Charities has announced they will begin
providing scholarships to participants of the Rogers
Activity Center. Scholarships will be available for all
programs including; softball, baseball, cheerleading,
soccer, tumbling, and football.
“We are very excited extending our scholarship reach to the
community of Rogers,” said, Sarah Eldridge, Executive
Director, Pagnozzi Charities. “By us partnering with the
Rogers Activity Center, we are opening the door for more
youth to have the opportunity to play.”
“With the obesity problem reaching epidemic proportions, it
is critical that we offer children physical activity through
sports”. “Because of relationships such as the one with RAC
and Pagnozzi Charities all children have the opportunity to
participate regardless of financial abilities”, said Coleta
Paris, Director of the Rogers Activity Center.
Pagnozzi Charities granted over 900 sports scholarships in
2006 for children in kindergarten through 8th grade.
Scholarships were given for equipment purchases, travel
expenses, uniforms, camp registration fees, recreational
program fees, monthly instructional classes, and Razorback
game tickets for families. Scholarships are granted based on
a household’s financial income according to standards set by
national guidelines of the Department of Human services.
Pagnozzi Charities is a 501c-3 non-profit organization and
all donations are tax deductible. Pagnozzi Charities hopes
to reach a goal of providing 1150 scholarships in 2007.
The mission of Pagnozzi Charities is to open the door of
athletic experience to disadvantaged youth. Our goal is to
advance the well-being of youth by giving them the same
opportunity as their peers and introducing them to positive
life experiences.
