Special Tactics and Response Team

Special Tactics and Response Team (STAR) is the Rogers Police Departments tactical unit.  The STAR team is what is considered as a part time team.  This means that all members have the additional responsibility of working other duties as an officer.

The tactical unit is comprised of a Team Commander, a Team Leader, and seventeen team members. Five of these members are Tactical Medics from the Rogers Fire Department and are full time Fire-Fighters for Rogers.  Responsibilities of the STAR team include high risk warrant service, execution of drug search warrants, dealing with armed and barricaded subjects,  and hostage rescues.

The STAR team meets twice a month.
